07 February 2020 09:00 - 17:30
EIT Climate-KIC is working with community partners on developing a portfolio of solutions for action on plastic pollution. The aim of this conference is to bring representatives together from across the plastics ecosystem to co-design systemic solutions and to develop next steps along the plastic value chain.
Life is Plastic
This conference builds on results from the eCircular programme and Chemical Recycling project commissioned in 2019 by the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management. From new business models that eliminate the need of plastics, through to cutting edge chemical recycling technologies, EIT Climate-KIC is actively building up a portfolio of start-ups developing disruptive technologies all along the plastics value chain.
Our aim is to upscale solutions across the European market. As part of this project EIT Climate-KIC also collaborated with Ecomatters to make an assessment tool to give decision makers and investors an easy method to evaluate the maturity of the identified start-up (and scale-up) initiatives.
We are working with partners from our community on multiple on-going projects addressing plastic waste prevention. During this conference we invite you to co-design the steps needed to broaden our community to work on systems innovation along the plastic value chain.
