TKI-allowance: opportunities for public-private cooperation

TKI-allowance: opportunities for public-private cooperation
library

Encouraging public-private cooperation is the purpose of the TKI fee. But what is it exactly? And who is qualified for consideration?

A program for fundamental research

In prime Consortium's for Knowledge and Innovation (Dutch TKIs) you can cooperate in research and innovation. Within a TKI, research organizations and businesses work together to finance a public-private, multi-year program. A TKI program includes fundamental research, industrial research, experimental development, or a combination of aforementioned. TKI provides governance, networking and knowledge sharing.

Various activities

Fundamental or industrial research. What exactly does that mean? With the TKI fee you can start new activities. Some examples:

  • Technical feasibility studies by SMEs;
  • Innovation services and innovation support services to SMEs;
  • Support for the loan of highly qualified personnel to SMEs;
  • Exploiting innovation clusters.

TKI-allowance for TKI’s

As its name suggests, only TKI’s apply for such a charge. If you as a company or research institute would want a TKI-allowance for your cooperation, you can join a TKI. You can sent TKI requests until October 14, 2016 at RVO.nl. Look here for detailed information on the TKI.
