Recycled 3d printing filament

What started as a drive to reduce the plastic problem in the world matured into a groundbreaking brand called Refil that is now selling high-quality recycled filament around the world. PET filament made from old bottles, ABS from car dashboards and HIPS from refrigerators; we strive to make the best recycled filament in the market. Using this filament you instantly make everything you print a recycled product. We want to offer the makers of the world a 3d printer filament that is fully recycled, with a quality that is comparable or exceeds premium non-recycled filaments.

The process

The production process starts with collecting old car dashboards, fridges, PET bottles and food packaging. These materials are sorted, cleaned and shredded into tiny plastic flakes. Then these flakes are filtered from all contaminants, melted and extruded into clean Ø1.75 or Ø2.85 mm diameter strings. Finally, the fresh, new re-filament is wound onto a cardboard spool (which are fully recyclable as well). It is then ready to be used in every FDM printer.
