challenge

As a manufacturer of detergents, Orienza is constantly looking for ways to become more sustainable. In order to do so, we are not only looking at the composition of our products but also at packaging. We want to make the switch to sustainable packaging. Our biggest challenges are the (dosing) cap and the trigger sprayer. Can you help us with our challenge?

Environment-friendly products

Orienza BV Chemicals & Detergents specializes in developing, producing, selling and distributing cleaning and maintenance products. We are located in Papendrecht, the Netherlands, where we produce over 2000 tonnes of environmentally friendly cleaning products on our production site. The environment is very important to us: in the composition of new products we take the environmental impact into account. Some of our products have also been certified by the Eco-label EU Program and have been Cradle to Cradle Certified TM.

Sustainable packaging

To make our products even more environmentally friendly, we want to switch to sustainable packaging. We strive for materials with as little impact on the environment as possible. Think of a compostable bottle of cellulose, or a packaging made of recyclable plastic from the plastic soup. Our biggest challenges include the trigger sprays, special dosing caps and dispensers. We need different types of caps that ensure quality retention and the right dose.

Requirements

We produce about 600,000 bottles annually, and all bottles have caps and trigger sprays. It concerns an assortment of packages, ranging from 500 ml to 5 liters bottles. Furthermore, the packaging must meet a number of requirements:

  • The material must be recyclable or compostable
  • The material must be used for various sizes and types of packaging and products
  • The basic packaging must take little volume when transporting
  • The packaging must be solid and suitable for packaging detergents

Which company can help us with our challenge?

We would like to talk to companies that can develop sustainable packaging, trigger sprays and caps. Interested partners can contact Jeffrey Prince via jp@orphisch.nl or via 06-48144761.
